Arroz con leche
(rice with milk) a typical dessert

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of rice
4 cups of milk
1 cinamon branch
1/2 spoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of raisins

PREPARATION:

Soak the rice in cold water (15 minutes). Drain it and Place it on a pan over the fire to cook on a very low fire with 2 milk cups and with the cinnamon branch.

When it is cooked, pour the rest of the milk, the vanilla and the sugar, stir once in a while.

Once the mixture thickens pour on a recipient. Decorate with some raisins and place in the fridge.

It can also be served hot; to do this, place some butter on top and get the recipient in the oven until the surface is lightly toasted.
